Dharma Sauna

Dharma Sauna is a small, atmospheric sauna in the middle of Køge, built into an old 1930s garden house. It is run by Bo and Maria, partners in life and both gus masters, and the setting is deliberately intimate so there is time and room for every single guest. Between rounds you cool down under the cold shower or in the cold-water tub. The venue offers both open sessions and private events for up to eight people.

Saunagus at Dharma Sauna takes place in the small sauna in the garden house, where groups are rarely larger than eight guests. A regular session consists of four rounds in which the heat is built up and the essential oils and herbal infusions are spread evenly, so everyone gets a comfortable, balanced warmth. Between rounds there are small snacks and time to cool down under the cold shower or in the cold-water tub. Alongside the regular sessions we hold themed evenings – Finnish Sauna with birch whisks and Finnish soundscapes, Indigenous with drums, herbs and smoke, women-only sessions with a salt scrub, and The Essence of Dharma, where four of our own favourite rounds are gathered into one evening. Bring swimwear, two towels and something to drink, ideally with electrolytes – and a bathrobe if you like.
