Kurhotel Skodsborg sits on Skodsborg Strandvej between the forest and the Øresund strait, and has drawn on the water, the light and the air of the place since 1898. The spa and wellness area holds 16 bathing experiences, and from the beach just below the hotel you can take a sea dip in the Øresund all year round. Sauna gus at Kurhotel Skodsborg takes place in the hotel's award-winning spa, where essential oils are poured onto the hot stove and spread with a towel or fan, while the Øresund lies ready for a sea dip between rounds. The programme has two fixed formats: Saunagus for hotel guests, an hour with two rounds in the spa, and the Saunagus Event, where five-time Danish champion Henrik Baunkjær takes you through three sessions over ninety minutes with music, lighting and advanced towel technique. The themes range from calm and mindfulness to high intensity and power. In the breaks you can cool off in the Øresund, relax in the lounge and help yourself to both cold and hot drinks. Only pure essential oils are used, so the scent stays mild while the effect shifts between relaxation, circulation and renewed energy.
