VikingeGuZ

VikingeGuZ is located at Bymosevej 20 in Helsinge and calls itself a house of rituals built around three forces: heat, cold and rest. The sauna usually holds 80-95 degrees, and outside stands an electric ice bath kept at 0-5 degrees all year round, along with an outdoor shower with clean spring water. There are changing rooms and showers on site, and each session has room for 12 guests. The place serves all of North Zealand, with Hillerød, Helsingør and Gilleleje as the nearest towns.

A sauna gus at VikingeGuZ lasts one hour and fifteen minutes in the sauna on Bymosevej, where there is room for 12 and the rounds of 8-12 minutes are broken up by cooling off in the electric ice bath. The programme has three fixed formats: Tirsdagsgus, built on de-stressing, breathwork and aromatherapy in intense, continuous heat, Torsdag Heatsauna with the heat turned up, and Søndags relaxing gus, where the heat is built up over three rounds. The two gus masters each leave their own mark - Birgitta with loud music and immersion, Bob with calm breathing exercises. The oils are organic and range from eucalyptus and pine to birch and juniper, and in the breaks there is fresh fruit, nuts, tea and ginger shots. You must be at least 16, and you bring your own swimwear, towels, bathing shoes and plenty of drinking water.
