Sauna session in Middelfart

Sauna sessions in Middelfart take place at Hindsgavl Slot, out at the far end of the castle park on the Hindsgavl peninsula. The sauna stands down by the castle's own private beach with its bathing jetty and bathing huts facing Fænøsund, and there is room for 12 guests at a time. A session is four rounds with essential oils chosen to match the season, and between rounds you can take a cold dip in the Little Belt. It is a quiet kind of sauna session, weighted towards calm, breathing and mindfulness rather than show. Tickets are booked online, parking at the castle is free, and bathrobes and slippers can be rented at reception. North-west of the town lies Strib Svømmehal with indoor sauna sessions.
