Regions with sauna sessions

Vestegnen, the western suburbs of Copenhagen, is the place for sauna sessions close to the city without going into it: here the sessions take place in swimming pools, sports centres and small sauna studios in the business districts.

In North Zealand (Nordsjælland) the sauna session often has the coast right outside the door: the Sound, the Kattegat and Roskilde Fjord.

Central Zealand (Midtsjælland) gathers sauna sessions between Roskilde Fjord and Ringsted, an area where public pools and small private saunas in the countryside sit side by side.

South Zealand and Møn (Sydsjælland og Møn) has sauna sessions on farms, by the fjord and in the towns' swimming pools, and the venues are small enough that groups rarely get large.

Amager is the island with sauna sessions close to the city, the airport and the Sound, and it covers Amager in Copenhagen, Kastrup in Tårnby and Dragør.

Funen (Fyn) has sauna sessions from the harbour in Odense to bathing jetties on the Little Belt and a castle on Fænøsund, and most of it is close to water.

Southern Jutland (Sønderjylland) has sauna sessions by the fjords and in the towns' swimming pools, and the venues are few and different enough to make the choice easy.

Trekantområdet, the Triangle Region, is the seven municipalities around the Little Belt and Vejle Fjord, and here sauna sessions take place on the harbours, in the big sports centres and in private gardens.

West Jutland (Vestjylland) has sauna sessions from the Wadden Sea to the Limfjord, mostly in the towns' swimming pools and wellness centres - with a few venues right by the water.

Central Jutland (Midtjylland) has sauna sessions by the lakes, the fjords and in the big sports centres, and several venues are large enough that you can just turn up.

East Jutland (Østjylland) gathers sauna sessions around Aarhus and down towards Horsens - from harbour saunas to open-air baths and large wellness centres.

North Jutland (Nordjylland) has sauna sessions from the North Sea to the Kattegat, ranging from a sauna hut right on the beach to large water and culture centres.
