Sauna session in Skive

Skive has one sauna venue, and it is the town's winter bathing club out by the marina.

Vinterbadeklubben VISKI is based at Strandtangen, where the club's sauna was inaugurated in the autumn of 2020 and has 40 seats and a view out over Skive Fjord. From the bathing jetty at the end of the pier you step straight into the fjord, where the water quickly gets deep and the bottom is good, and by the clubhouse there are changing rooms and outdoor showers - one with hot water by the clubhouse and one with cold water by the sauna building. An ordinary session lasts about 70 minutes and usually consists of three rounds of 10-15 minutes with a cold plunge in between, and the club's several trained sauna hosts take turns running it. Through the season the special sessions come on top: morning and after-work sessions, hot yoga sessions, gong sessions, tapping sessions and a wine-tasting session together with Havnens Vinotek. Sign-up is binding, and you can only hold one ordinary and one special session booked at a time. Bring water in a bottle for the sauna, and drink plenty beforehand.
