Charlottehaven Health Club

A fitness club in Østerbro, Copenhagen, with a sauna and saunagus several times a week, where the gus master pours water with essential oils over the hot stones. The venue also has a Tylarium – a milder, more humid form of sauna at 60-70 degrees.

Sauna gus at Charlottehaven takes place in the health club's two separate saunas in Østerbro, where both the women's and the men's sauna seat 12 guests. The programme runs in two fixed series – Saunagus Damer for women and Saunagus Herre for men – and a gus lasts 45-50 minutes, with the gus master pouring water with essential oils over the hot stones and spreading scent and steam with a towel. Alongside the classic sauna the house has a Tylarium with milder, more humid heat at around 60-70 degrees, a good place to land afterwards. Book ahead – there are only twelve places per session.
