Venues in Copenhagen

Copenhagen has more sauna venues than any other city in Denmark, ranging from sauna clubs and floating saunas to roof terraces and historic bathhouses. What sets them apart above all is where you cool down: in the sea or in a tub.

Sauna House in Nordhavn is a sauna club with three saunas, each with its own character: a quiet sauna, a conversation sauna with a view over the water and a dark session sauna where the house's sauna sessions are held. The sessions come in three versions, Relax, Hot and Energy, and alongside them run specials such as herbal sessions, Ice Experience with an ice bath and Run + Recover, where a group run ends in the sauna. On Friday evenings there are themed sessions built around the music. Afterwards you cool down under cold showers, with ice buckets or in the outdoor tub, and there is a lounge to settle in.

Also in Nordhavn and on Østerbro are Holm8, Analog Sauna, HOT N' COLD (Saunagus), Charlottehaven Health Club and the mobile RunningSauna.

By the harbour you swim in the sea between rounds: at Københavns Badeklub by Fisketorvet, Butchers Heat by Margretheholm Havn, Havgus Sauna Ship at Holmen and Sauna Svala at Sluseholmen. Glaecier on Refshaleøen has a floating pool of filtered harbour water, and at Kalvebod Brygge you find Winter Island and KYND Marriott.

Sydhavnen is a sauna quarter of its own with Plugin Heat Club SYDHAVN, Innercise Sydhavn on a roof terrace, Sauna Yard, Sauna Club Sydhavn, Sidste Sauna and KYND Sydhavn. On Amager you find Inipi Amagerstrand facing the Øresund, Plugin Heat Club AMAGER, Sauna85 Amager, Hitaya SaunaGus by Slusen and KYND Ørestad.

Nordvest has Heat Harmony, Rört Copenhagen with a wood-fired stove and Sauna85 Nordvest, and on Nørrebro Sjællandsgade Bad holds its sessions in the 1917 bathhouse. In the inner city Lucky Punch Saunagus holds guided sauna sessions in the sauna at 25hours Hotel in Pilestræde, with three rounds of steam, essential oils and breathing exercises. Sofiebadet is the listed 1909 bathhouse on Christianshavn, and DGI Byen is next to Copenhagen Central Station.

Just outside the city lie Just Sauna København under Bispeengbuen, Innercise Vanløse and Wellness-Saunagus by the sea in Charlottenlund.
