Sauna sessions at Assens Vinterbadere are for members of the club only: access to the bath house requires a paid membership and the personal key fob the club issues to each member. The club is based in a new bath house on Mariendal Strand in the northern part of Assens, where the sauna has a large window facing Lillebælt and the bathing jetty is a few steps away on the beach. The bath house has changing rooms and toilets, and there is a defibrillator by the entrance door; the changing rooms are open weekdays 6-22 and weekends 7-22, and the sauna is guaranteed hot every day 7-9 and 16-19. The club is a community for anyone who enjoys the cold shock of Lillebælt - whatever your age, experience, pace or disability - and it has a Hippocampe beach wheelchair that bathers with reduced mobility can borrow to get down to the water.
