Thyhallen

Thy Hallen is Thisted municipality's large sports and swimming centre, bringing fitness, a swimming hall and a health centre together under one roof. The swimming centre has a regular sauna, an infrared sauna and a steam bath, and just outside there is a terrace with lounge furniture and a small pool. Sauna gus is held by the venue's own gus masters several times a week, and alongside the regular gus included in the entrance fee, the venue also offers a paid luxury gus with several rounds and changing scents.

Our regular sauna gus is included in the entrance fee to the swimming centre and is held several set times a week, typically mornings and afternoons on weekdays and at weekends - though only once at least six guests have shown up. The gus master pours water with fragrant aromas onto the hot stones and spreads the heat through the sauna; a regular gus is two seven-minute rounds with a short break in between. Alongside the free gus we also hold a paid luxury gus lasting around ninety minutes with several rounds, changing scents and moods, and small breaks with refreshments along the way - this one requires advance sign-up. You must be at least 15 to take part, and there is a maximum of one gus per guest per day. Bring a towel to sit on in the sauna, and shower before and after.
