Badeanstalten Spanien

Badeanstalten Spanien is a 1933 bathhouse in central Aarhus, its neon sign glowing out over the street. The wellness area, Grossererbadet, holds a sauna, two steam baths with and without scent, a bubble and light sensory pool, a 34-degree massage pool, a cold-water bucket, a powerful cold shower and the original 1933 changing cabins. On Tuesdays and Thursdays Grossererbadet is for adults aged 15 and over only, and the area is a phone-free zone. The ticket also includes access to the swimming pool.

Saunagus at Badeanstalten Spanien takes place in the sauna in Grossererbadet, the 1933 wellness area, where between rounds you can use the steam baths, the sensory pool or the powerful cold shower. The regular session is Torsdagsgus, where a gus of about twelve minutes is followed by a scrub in the steam bath, and where the ticket includes both Grossererbadet for the booked time slot and the swimming pool. On top of that we hold themed evenings through the year – 90s gus, autumn gus and Christmas gus – with two sessions, a scrub in the steam baths, snacks and cold drinks. The events are for adults aged 15 and over, with room for around 30 at a time. Bring a padlock for your locker; Grossererbadet is a phone-free zone.
