Sauna session in Blokhus

Blokhus has one sauna venue, a mobile sauna cabin standing right on the beach with a view out over the North Sea.

Saunahytten Blokhus Strand has a large panoramic window facing the sea, heat comes from a wood-fired stove with lava stones, and the benches are made of sauna wood - this is in fact where the very first saunahytte was built, back in December 2015. A session lasts an hour and combines a sauna session with a dip in the North Sea: three rounds, where water mixed with essential oils is poured onto the stove and the sauna host fans the towel to spread the steam, and between rounds you take the few steps down to the sea for a dip before returning to the heat. Sessions run both mornings and evenings, year round, with extra slots during holidays. The cabin also has a toilet, a changing room and a lounge and bar area. Change at the beach by Sømærket, and bring swimwear, a towel and beach shoes.
