Butchers Heat

Butchers Heat runs two saunas in Copenhagen: a stationary sauna at Margretheholmen Harbour and a mobile SaunaTruck – a converted military vehicle with a wood-burning stove. They offer saunagus as aromatherapy, where a gus master swings the scent of essential oils and the heat around, with a fresh sea dip between each session year-round.

Sauna gus at Butchers Heat takes place in the stationary sauna at Margretheholm Harbour, where there are only 13 places and the sea lies a few steps away for dips between rounds all year round. Every session is called Classic SaunaGus: one hour in which the gus master guides you through three rounds with fragrant essential oils, good music and plenty of heat, with snacks and water in the breaks. Alongside the harbour sauna we run a mobile SaunaTruck – a converted military vehicle with a wood-burning stove. Bring swimwear and two towels, one to sit on and one to dry off with; in the cold season a bathrobe and flip-flops are good to have.
