CopenHot

CopenHot is Copenhagen's largest outdoor spa area, set on Refshaleøen in the old shipyard area the shipbuilders used to call 'Little Siberia'. It has several wood-fired hot tubs and saunas overlooking the former B&W shipyard and CopenHill, plus large cold tubs for the chilly contrast. The electric Timber Sauna, which seats up to 20 guests, is built specifically for sauna gus.

Sauna gus at CopenHot takes place in the large Timber Sauna, purpose-built for the experience. The gus master guides you through an hour of scented steam, music and warm, fanned air, while the contrast between the sauna's heat and the cold water outside creates the classic gus feeling. A minimum number of participants is needed before a session runs, so your booking is only confirmed once enough people have signed up. Included is a bottle of water, access to the shared heated changing room with showers, a towel per person and free use of the cold pool afterwards. Bring your own swimwear, and arrive in good time so you can warm up before the gus begins.
