Frederikshavn Svømmehal

Frederikshavn Svømmehal is the town's municipal swimming pool on Parallelvej, with four pools, a gym area and a Relax section built for heat and relaxation. Relax holds the wilderness sauna in alder wood with a cold plunge tub and wellness shower, a volcanic steam bath at around 45 degrees with room for about 20 people, a sauna with a starlit ceiling and an infrared Full Spectrum sauna. The entrance ticket covers the pools, the gym, the saunas and the steam bath with no time limit, and Café Hyggestunden is on site. The Relax area is mainly for adults - children are admitted with an adult at weekends, on public holidays and during school holidays.

Our sauna sessions take place in the wilderness sauna in the Relax area: a Finnish-inspired sauna in alder wood with a cold plunge tub and wellness shower right outside the door. The sauna host pours water with essential oils onto the stove and spreads the heat with a towel while music plays, and sessions run several times a day - from early morning to late evening. On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays we hold Relax evenings with series sessions, where three sessions are given over the course of the evening with the emphasis on calm and wellbeing, and on the first Friday of the month there is a wellness evening where the whole building slows down. You take part with a sauna session ticket added to your entrance ticket, and seats in the sauna are first come, first served. Bring a large towel - swimwear is required throughout the Relax area.
