Gellerupbadet

Gellerupbadet is located on Karen Blixens Boulevard in Brabrand, west of Aarhus, and is run by Sport & Fritid, Aarhus Municipality. The pool hall holds a 25-metre pool at 27 degrees, a children's pool at 29 degrees with a small water slide, and a baby pool at 33 degrees. The sauna is shared by both sexes and sits inside the pool hall itself; it is kept at 90 degrees, with a cold-water shower just outside. In the lounge you can eat your own packed food with a view into the hall, and you need to bring a padlock for the changing-room lockers.

Saunagus at Gellerupbadet takes place in the shared sauna inside the pool hall itself, where it is 90 degrees, swimwear is required and a cold-water shower stands just outside the door. The session is held on Saturdays alongside adult swimming, lasts about fifteen minutes and focuses on calm, warmth and well-being. There are only ten places per session, so it pays to book from home or at the ticket desk – the gus is an add-on to your ordinary swimming pool ticket, and cancellation must be made no later than two hours before the start. Bring a padlock for your locker in the changing room; one can also be bought at the ticket counter. Note that the sauna is closed in June, July and August.
