Københavns Badeklub runs a small floating wooden sauna at Fisketorvet, sitting directly on the water in the harbour basin with its own deck and ladders down into the harbour - only a few steps from the hot sauna to the cold water. The sauna holds about a dozen people at a time and is used both by club members and by guests who book a spot. The club swims at two places in Copenhagen's harbour, at Fisketorvet and at Islands Brygge.
Sauna sessions with us
Saunagus at Københavns Badeklub takes place in the floating wooden sauna at Fisketorvet, which holds about a dozen people at a time and has the harbour basin right outside the door for a cold dip between rounds. The programme alternates between two formats: a one-hour GUS where the sauna host works with essential oils, steam and music, and longer two-hour guest sessions where the sauna host welcomes you and gives a short introduction before you warm up. You must be at least 18, and you bring your own towel and a filled water bottle - there is no access to water in the sauna area. The changing room is small, so arrive ten to fifteen minutes early so everyone can start together. Bookings can neither be changed nor refunded.
