Sauna session in Middelfart municipality

The municipality of Middelfart has two gus venues, and both lie on north-west Funen facing the Little Belt. Strib Svømmehal runs gus as everyday wellness: the gus master gradually pours scented oils mixed with water on the hot stones and spreads the fragrant steam with a towel. The hall is one of the places in Denmark where gender-separated gus is the main format - there are women's sessions and men's sessions, plus mixed ones for both in the women's sauna. Hindsgavl Slot holds its sessions outdoors by the castle's own bathing jetty on the Hindsgavl peninsula, where the sauna seats 12 guests and the cooling down is a cold dip in the Little Belt. At both venues tickets are booked online, and neither requires membership.
