Skansen Bad & Wellness

Skansen Bad & Wellness in Nørresundby is a few minutes' drive from central Aalborg and gathers a swimming pool, wellness and fitness under one roof. The Relax section is for adults and holds a steam room, a bio sauna, the cold "Svends Kar" plunge at 13-14 degrees, a warm-water pool and two outdoor saunas, Kalosauna and Panoramasauna, with an outdoor warm-water pool beside them. Next door are a 50-metre pool with eight lanes and diving boards, a therapy pool at 35 degrees, and a large children's section with slides, a current pool, a climbing wall and a bubble grotto.

Sauna sessions at Skansen are held in the Relax section, where our lifeguards pour water and ice over the hot stones and set the mood with their own choice of scent and music - so no two sessions are alike. Sessions are for adults, except on family evenings, when children are welcome too. Midweek we hold quiet evenings with extra sauna sessions, where you can linger in the whole wellness area, and at the till you can buy wristbands that are exchanged for drinks in Relax. When it gets really busy we run double sessions in two saunas instead of the one on the schedule - so be in the sauna on time. Bring a large towel to sit on that covers both feet and back, and take it out with you again after each session.
