Sauna session in Dragør

Dragør has two sauna venues close to the water south of Copenhagen, and they're very different in style: one a wooden sauna in natural surroundings with copper showers, the other a raft off Dragør Fort.

Heat It holds its sessions in a wooden sauna flanked by outdoor copper showers. The regular session is the Classic, 75 minutes in which the sauna host creates a sensory atmosphere with heat, steam, essential oils and music, and there is a calm Senior session for those who want it gentler. Alongside, Heat It holds ceremonies: full-moon sessions with four ceremonial rounds from grounding to integration, and a cacao ceremony where six rounds are tied together by ceremonial cacao and an ice bath. The sauna hosts take turns, so every evening has its own voice, and there is free parking at the venue.

DAMAI is a sauna and breathwork studio on the water by Dragør Fort, with the sauna on a raft by Prins Knuds Dæmning. A session is a guided sensory experience with essential oils, typically lasting around 75 minutes including breaks, with the chance to swim in the sea between rounds. There are changing rooms, and water and snacks are always available.

If you want the wooden sauna's ceremonies, choose Heat It; if you want the sea right outside the sauna, choose DAMAI.
