Sauna sessions in Sønderjylland

Southern Jutland (Sønderjylland) has sauna sessions by the fjords and in the towns' swimming pools, and the venues are few and different enough to make the choice easy.

In Sønderborg, Nordic Wave on Vølundsgade is the venue with themes: every session has its own, from Classic over Morgendis and Skovens Hvisken to Nordic Evening, Northern Lights and a scrub ritual, and the themes follow the seasons. A session lasts an hour and a half with three guided rounds. Alsik Spa in the same town also holds sessions.

Haderslev has two small and personal venues. Haderslev Vinterbadeklub is based in Det Blå Forenings Hus by Haderslev Fjord, where the sauna faces the water through large windows and the outdoor tubs for cold dips are right outside the door. Den Gamle Have is sauna host Gitte Minck's own garden with a wooden sauna and a cold tub, surrounded by tall hedges.

In Aabenraa you find Arena Aabenraa, and in Tønder, Tønder Svømmehal has its sauna in the town's pool.

Haderslev also belongs to the Triangle Region, so if you want more venues to choose from, Kolding and Vejen are not far away.
