Sauna sessions in Sydsjælland og Møn

South Zealand and Møn (Sydsjælland og Møn) has sauna sessions on farms, by the fjord and in the towns' swimming pools, and the venues are small enough that groups rarely get large.

Næstved has two very different ways in: Næstved Svømmehal in town and Bjergbakkegaard-Gus on a private farm in Fodby just outside, where the regular session lasts an hour and a half, with the occasional full-moon meditation by the fire and an evening of sauna and gong.

Near Præstø, Kirsebærkroen sits between forest and fjord. Groups have eight seats, and between rounds you take the cold dip in the tub or straight into the fjord, with the inn's own sugar and salt scrub as part of the session. Further south, DGI Huset Vordingborg holds sessions in its water house in a short and a long version, with meditative sessions alongside, and GusBox runs its regular evenings in a permanent sauna at Sværdborggård in Lundby.

On Stevns, Saunaoasen Rødvig has a large wood-fired sauna and two ice baths at Feriebyens Camping, where an Ice & Sauna session alternates between the hot sauna and an ice bath at around zero degrees. In Faxe Municipality, Haslev Svømmehal holds sessions in the pool.

If you want the sea or the fjord between rounds, look to Præstø and Rødvig. If you want a municipal pool, Næstved, Haslev or Vordingborg.
