Body scrub sauna session

Scrub gus typically adds a salt treatment to the session, removing the outermost layer of dead skin cells to cleanse the skin. Between rounds you spread salt or sugar mixed with oil on the skin, sweat it in during the heat and rinse it off in the cold afterwards - the skin turns smooth and the scent lingers long after. It is a small format in Denmark, but two venues run it regularly: SEIER in Aarhus holds sauna gus and sea bathing with a salt scrub out on Aarhus Ø, and Nordic Wave in Sønderborg has its Scrub Ritual on the programme. Kirsebærkroen near Præstø uses its own homemade body scrubs as part of the session. Bring a towel you do not mind getting oil on.
