Frederikssund Sauna Club

Frederikssund Sauna Club is a volunteer-run association with a mobile sauna that has both an electric and a wood-fired stove, so you can relax to the sound of crackling logs. Outside stands an ice bath with chilling, UV and ozone filtration that keeps the water clean and cold all year, and there is an outdoor shower as well. You do not need a membership to join a session, but members get a discount on gus and can bring a guest.

Sauna gus at Frederikssund Sauna Club takes place in the club's mobile sauna with its wood-fired stove and the ice bath right outside, and each session has nine places. A session lasts around 75 minutes across three rounds of 12-15 minutes with breaks of 7-9 minutes, where you dip in the ice bath or step under the outdoor shower and get a ginger shot. The programme alternates between Saunagus & Ice Bath, where guided breathing and the cold are the centrepiece and the gus is the reward afterwards, and Saunagus focused on mental calm, herbs and steam. Now and then there is a children's gus, where kids play with the steam and do small breathing exercises, and SingleGus by Night for singles. Bring your own swimwear, a water bottle and two towels, and since the sauna is mobile, check the location for the date you book.
