Sauna session in Hillerød

Hillerød has one sauna venue, and the sessions take place in the changing-room saunas and are for members only.

FysioDanmark Hillerød is a training and treatment centre on Milnersvej with physiotherapy, chiropractic, a dietitian and around 70 classes a week across three studios, a cycling room and a cross box. The two saunas, with wooden benches and soft lighting, sit in the changing rooms - one in the women's section and one in the men's - and there are fourteen places in each session. The sauna host drips essential oils onto the hot stones and spreads the steam with a towel or a fan, creating different temperature zones in the room, and you can finish with contrast heat under a bucket of ice-cold water. Sessions last half an hour, and the women's sauna has most of them, mornings as well as evenings, while the men's sauna has a couple of fixed slots a week. The centre's own sauna hosts take turns leading them, and you sign up through the class schedule. Bring a towel to sit on and preferably flip-flops.
