FysioDanmark Hillerød

FysioDanmark Hillerød is a training and treatment centre on Milnersvej offering physiotherapy, chiropractic, a dietitian and around 70 classes a week spread across three studios, a cycling room and a cross box. The saunas sit in the changing rooms, with wooden benches and soft lighting – one in the women's section and one in the men's – and this is where the sauna gus takes place. The full experience ends with contrast heat under a bucket of ice-cold water.

Sauna gus at FysioDanmark Hillerød takes place in the two saunas in the changing rooms, one in the women's section and one in the men's, with fourteen places in each session. The gus master drips essential oils onto the hot stones and spreads the steam with a towel or a fan, creating different temperature zones in the room, and you can finish with contrast heat under a bucket of ice-cold water. Sessions last half an hour, and the women's sauna has most of them – mornings as well as evenings – while the men's sauna has a couple of fixed slots a week. The centre's own gus masters take turns leading the sessions. Sauna gus is for members only, and you sign up through the class schedule. Bring a towel to sit on and preferably flip-flops.
