HITAYA sits right down by the lock gates in Copenhagen S and describes itself as a raw and honest refuge close to the city and close to nature. The sauna holds 30 people, but no more than 19 guests are invited in per session, so there is air around your body. Outside the sauna there is a large heated lounge area where you can land before and after the session, plus two toilets. The room is built with an eye for atmosphere and craftsmanship - a rustic shower wall, warm wooden surfaces and raw, natural materials.

A sauna session at HITAYA is three rounds of 10-15 minutes in a sauna where we invite at most 19 guests in at a time, even though it holds 30. That leaves room to sink into the heat and lets the session do its work. The sauna host spreads the scent of real essential oils while the temperature slowly climbs - sometimes you find calm, sometimes energy, maybe both at once. Between rounds you can land in the big heated lounge area or cool off at the rustic shower wall. If you want the place to yourselves for a hen night, a birthday or a company event, you can book a private session. Bring swimwear, two towels and bathing slippers - and if it is your first time, come ten minutes early.
