Køge Svømmeland

Køge Svømmeland sits in the Ølby shopping centre and is the town's municipal swimming complex, with a 25-metre pool, a fun pool, a diving pool, a baby pool, a whirlpool and a water slide. Under the same roof are a fitness centre and Café Bassinkanten, so you can stay from opening to closing time. The sauna gus is held in the shared sauna, where men and women sit together in swimwear, while the women's sauna hosts the women-only sessions. Parking at the entrance is free.

Sauna gus at Køge Svømmeland takes place in the shared sauna, where women and men sit together in swimwear, and in the women's sauna when we run women-only sessions. A session is two rounds of 8-12 minutes with a break in between, lasting around 25 minutes in total: the gus master pours water with pure essential oils onto the stove and spreads the scent and heat with the towel. It is an aromatherapy experience where you get to unwind and feel the calm settle, and it runs through the cold season from September to May. The minimum age is 15, and pregnant guests are advised not to take part. You buy an add-on ticket alongside your entry ticket and are given a wristband at reception on arrival - and remember a ten-krone coin for the locker.
