Sauna session in Kolding

Kolding has three sauna venues with different ways into the heat: a sauna house by the harbour, an activity centre with its own sauna area, and the town's public pool, where the session is an add-on to the ticket.

Sauna Haus Kolding sits on Nordkajen with a harbour view, in two saunas and a large Lotus Belle tent. Three sauna hosts run the place, drawing on Nordic, Eastern European and South American traditions: a classic modern session with three calm rounds, the gender-split evenings Queens Only and Kings Only, Sauna Soul with shamanistic rituals across four rounds, and an herbal session with herbs and birch bundles in the venue's own banya sauna. Between rounds there's cold water and snacks, and you can warm your hands over a cup in the Lotus tent.

UNI10 SaunaGus is an activity centre on C.F. Tietgens Vej with padel, a gym and sauna sessions. The session takes place in the sauna, with an ice bath, showers and an orangery right beside it, and lasts 1 hour and 15 minutes across three rounds: 10-15 minutes of heat, where the sauna host pours water with essential oils onto the hot stones, then an ice bath or cold shower, and a break to settle before the next round. The sauna is shared by men and women, spots are limited, and you set your own pace and can skip a round. There's free parking.

Slotssøbadet sits centrally with a view of Koldinghus castle and the lake, and the sauna session is held in the venue's BellaVista sauna. The session is an add-on to the swim ticket and lasts half an hour, where the sauna host pours water with essential oils onto the stones and spreads the steam - short enough to fit into a swim. Women-only sessions are held now and then, and a couple of times a year GusPatruljen visits with a longer themed session, for example centred on music. There are sessions several times a week, all year round.
