Sauna session in Klampenborg

Klampenborg has two sauna venues: a historic bathhouse by the Sound and a mobile sauna with a fixed spot by the beach.

Temple Sea Bath is a bathhouse on Bellevue Beach set in Arne Jacobsen's old men's changing rooms from 1932. The house has two saunas - a talking sauna and a silent one, both switching between Finnish and infrared heat - and a jetty into the Sound, so sea bathing is part of the visit year round. Sessions run several times a week in both a shorter two-round format and a longer three-round event. The open sessions are also for guests and non-members, and the house has a yoga room, treatments and a café.

Social Sauna is one of the country's largest mobile saunas, with comfortable room for 20-25 people, built by Kim with a focus on community. The sauna host guides the session with essential oils, music and a swish of towel and fan, currently from a fixed spot in the car park south of Bellevue Beach, with the Sound right next door for a cool dip between rounds. The sauna can also be rented out for events, festivals and private parties.
