Gus – women only

Women-only gus creates a room where you can sit in the sauna without thinking about anything but the heat. The format is the same as the venue's other sessions - rounds, essential oils, cooling down - but the group is closed, and several places build in more calm and presence. Charlottehaven Health Club in Copenhagen runs regular women's sessions, Strib Svømmehal has women's sauna gus as one of its main formats, and at SaunaStudio in Hvidovre and Sauna Svala the session expands into a women's circle and ceremony. Many municipal pools also fit a single women's evening into the weekly programme.
