Sauna sessions in Midtsjælland

Central Zealand (Midtsjælland) gathers sauna sessions between Roskilde Fjord and Ringsted, an area where public pools and small private saunas in the countryside sit side by side.

In Roskilde Municipality, Roskilde Badet is the town's public baths, where sessions run in the wellness area's shared sauna morning, afternoon and evening, with separate groups for women only and men only. In Jyllinge, Saunagus Jyllinge has a large sauna with a terrace and ice baths, and its regular session, MAGISK Saunagus, has four rounds. In Havdrup, Sundhed og Fokus holds sessions in a sauna with a real wood stove.

In Lejre Municipality there are two venues in Kirke Hyllinge: Saunagården, where the sauna stands on a wooden terrace overlooking the fields with two sauna hosts who each have their own style, and Sæby-Gershøj Svømmebad, a volunteer-run pool with sessions all winter.

Ringsted Sportscenter has a newly renovated shared sauna in Ringsted Svømmeland, where you can just turn up for a session during opening hours, and in the winter half-year there is an evening session with three rounds for guests over 16. CoolGus is also based in Ringsted, and in Sorø, Sorø Vinterbadeklub is based.

The short answer on where to go: the pools in Roskilde and Ringsted if you want it easy and often, and the small saunas in Kirke Hyllinge and Jyllinge if you want calm and a longer session.
