Sauna session in Hundested

Hundested has one sauna venue, down by Lynæs Strand, north of town.

Lynæs Surfcenter is on Lynæs Havnevej, with the sauna standing right by the beach with a view over the water. There's room for 12 people, and right outside are two cold-water tubs, a shower and a toilet. A session is three warm rounds with essential oils, and the sauna host shares a little about the oils and their aromatherapeutic qualities along the way. Between rounds there are two breaks to cool all the way down - a jump in the fjord, a dip in one of the cold tubs, or a quick rinse under the shower. The whole experience lasts about an hour, and the sauna is warm half an hour before, so come in good time. You check in at the blue surf van in the garden, and the changing room opens a quarter of an hour before start, and before and after, the beach bar serves fresh coffee. The sauna can also be booked privately, and through spring, autumn and winter the centre holds sessions at fixed times.
