Sauna session in Frederikssund

Frederikssund has two sauna venues: a wellness studio in the middle of town and a volunteer club with a mobile sauna and ice bath.

Just Sauna Frederikssund is a wellness studio close to both the station and the water. The sauna is large - room for 40-45 people - and the cold plunge tub stands right outside. The programme runs in three fixed formats: Relax for a calm session, Power for high heat and Herbal with herbs, each around 75 minutes including breaks. Full moon ceremonies are held, and guest sessions and freestyle evenings appear in between. There is free parking at the venue.

Frederikssund Sauna Club is a volunteer association with a mobile sauna that has both an electric and a wood-fired stove, with an ice bath that's cooled, UV- and ozone-filtered right outside. You don't need a membership to join, but members get a discount and can bring a guest. A session lasts around 75 minutes over three 12-15 minute rounds, with breaks where you dip in the ice bath or step under the outdoor shower and get a ginger shot. The programme alternates between a format built around guided breathing and cold, and one focused on calm, herbs and steam, and now and then there's a children's session and a Singlegus by Night. Because the sauna is mobile, check the location for the date you book.
